You will see bizarre shrines built by a cult in the first chapters of the Resident Evil 4 remake. You can interact with these, however they force you to use a particular item. Unfortunately, you won’t even get the chance to open the first few you come across because the item needed to do so won’t be available until later—and then, only if you know where to look. However, it’s safe to say that the treasures you find within make the time it takes to go back and collect everything worthwhile. Here is information on how to open each Wayshrine in the Resident Evil 4 remake as well as what each one contains.

How to 0pen Wayshrines
It’s time to go back and see all the Wayshrines you were made to pass by since you now have the Wayshrine Key. To get all the benefits, you must go back and open all five. Here is where each one is as well as what goodies each one has to offer you:
- Go to the northeast side and behind the barn in the farm region you reach by following the essential path of the story right after the opening village portion. Claim your Antique Pipe by breaking the Wayshrine open.
- Continue on into the Lakeside Settlement, which is where the people initially started launching dynamite at you. You undoubtedly remember this place from that time. A little path that ends at the shrine is to the left of the main house. Pick up the Pearl Bangle with your key.
- Stop between the Quarry and the area with the Merchant on the path that leads from the Merchant shop to the Church to obtain this Wayshrine’s pize. It’s a Butterfly Lamp this time.
- You can locate a place to dock on the left bank of the river if you ride your boat past the Large Cave Shrine farther down the river than indicated on your map. There isn’t anything here but the shrine that guards the Splendid Bangle.
- Right as you are ready to leave the town and enter the castle in the Checkpoint area, there is the last Wayshrine. You may get to the shrine by walking to the second floor of the house and taking the platform outside. It is directly outside the house where you are initially accosted by two chainsaw-wielding female villagers. This will have the Elegant Headdress in it.
