HP’s new color laser printers are energy-efficient and eco-friendly

HP has unveiled a new line of Color LaserJet printers that use toner cartridges and packaging made of 78% less plastic, up to 27% less energy, and up to 27% less overall.

The Terrace new toner technology, which surrounds toner particles in a protective shell and aids in waste reduction, is at the heart of today’s announcement. HP drastically reduced the amount of plastic required to contain toner in cartridges and their packaging with Terrace.

The HP color laser printers’ energy requirements are reduced since Terrace is designed to melt at lower temperatures. HP did not compromise on quality during the process. Moreover, Terrace provides crisper details and more vibrant colors within the CMYK color space.

The new HP Color LaserJet 4200 and 4300 series printers are intended for small enterprises and could be practical work-from-home options. There is still a need for page-sized documents that can be easily distributed or sent by mail, notwithstanding the rise in on-screen content.

Color LaserJet 4200/4300

The Color LaserJet 4200 and 4300 series print up to 35 pages per minute, which is 25% quicker than the previous generation of HP LaserJet Pro printers. For simpler operation, the 4300 incorporates a colour touchscreen panel.

With USB 2.0, Ethernet, and optional Wi-Fi 5, connectivity is flexible. Even without attaching a computer, you can print from a USB flash drive. HP printers work with Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome OS, iOS, and Android.

Compact at 16.6 x 6.8 x 11.3 inches, the 4200 series is larger at 16.6 x 17.1 x 15.1 inches. HP LaserJet printers are robust and weigh 36 and 45 pounds, respectively.

HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 and X500/X600

With duty cycles of 80,000 and 100,000 pages per month (recommended 10,000/14,000), the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 5000/6000 series and X500/X600 also benefit from the new Terraced technology while serving the more demanding requirements of businesses and organizations.

The first page can be produced in as little as 6.0 seconds for black ink only and 6.5 seconds for color at print speeds of up to 55 pages per minute. The enterprise-class printers can print at up to 1,200 dpi in color.

A 600 dpi optical scanner is a feature of the HP Color LaserJet Enterprise 6000 series. It can scan documents up to 14 inches wide and up to 34 inches long through a feeder. Fax is also included. This scanner can scan up to 80 pages per minute, making it a workhorse for a busy office.

These new HP Color LaserJet printers should be on your radar as potential high-performance color print options that are energy-efficient and environmentally friendly for any size office and even when working from home.
