James Bond fans offered truly unique experience, at a price

James Bond enthusiasts now have the option to fulfil their greatest 007 desires, but it will cost you much.

007 franchise owner Eon Productions and bespoke luxury travel company Black Tomato have collaborated to develop a 12-day, extremely immersive Bond-themed experience with prices starting at $73,500 per person.

The one-of-a-kind product is a part of ongoing events to honour 60 years since the release of the first James Bond film, Dr. No, in 1962.

A 12-night immersion into the never-a-dull-moment world of the mythical British secret agent 007 is the 007 experience, dubbed The Assignment.

The trip begins in London and moves via Paris, Monaco, and Lake Como before coming to a stunning conclusion in Venice, in true James Bond fashion.

Black Tomato details adventures such as a high-speed chase through London’s River Thames in the Sunseeker Super hawk speedboat used in The World Is Not Enough on its website (1995).

You’ll also visit Rules, the oldest restaurant in London, a favorite hangout of Q, Moneypenny, and M and a setting for the movie Specter (2015).

Bond aficionados may remember the Casino de Monte-Carlo from Golden Eye as well as a helicopter flight over the Austrian tztal Alps, which also appeared in Specter, and a yacht cruise along the French Riviera (1995).

In the picturesque Italian city of Venice, the journey comes to a spectacular conclusion. Following in the footsteps of Bond as he chased Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale (2006), you will go via the Campo San Barnaba and Sotoportego Speron d’Oro before concluding with a lavish “unbookable” meal on the Venetian island of Murano.

There is also the option for a custom tour, but it must span at least five nights and visit two different places. Still, costs for this choice start at $18,500 per person, making them slightly more affordable.

Black Tomato’s specialised “James Bond Travel Experts” will discuss with you your particular 007 interests, whether they be places, experiences, or specific Bond flicks, in order to design the experience.

At the time of the announcement of the 007 travel experience last year, Ali James, location manager for Eon, said, “Given this significant 60th-anniversary milestone for EON and Bond, it is an apt moment to officially celebrate some of the extraordinary locations from Bond’s film history over the past six decades.”
