Paramount Plus Will Get a Price Increase Later This Year

The streamer and Showtime are uniting, and with new programming comes new pricing.

There will be changes to Paramount Plus. The streamer will cost more when it merges with Showtime somewhere in the third quarter of 2023, according to Chief Financial Officer Naveen Chopra, who made the announcement during a Thursday earnings call.

After the launch of the integrated service, “these price reductions will apply to both new and existing consumers,” Chopra stated.

Its basic tier, which excludes Showtime, will cost $5.99 per month, barely a dollar more than its premium tier, which will cost $11.99 and include Showtime content. Currently, a bundle that includes Showtime and Paramount Plus is available.
