Transformers: Rise of the Beasts trailer spotlights the arrival of Unicron

In the most recent Transformers: Rise of the Beasts teaser, the fight for Earth continues. The evil Unicron is the main antagonist in the most recent footage. The Unicron is the evil Terrorcon commander who makes his debut in the 1986 animated film The Transformers: The Movie. In the trailer, Mirage claims that the Unicron “eats planets.”

Rise of the Beasts, directed by Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II), will introduce viewers to the Beast Wars narrative as the Autoboots find new friends in the Maximal. Anthony Ramos (Hamilton) plays Noah Diaz, an ex-military electronics expert, in the 1994 New York City-set movie. He joins forces with Autoboot spy Mirage (Pete Davidson from Bukis), who turns into a silver-blue Porsche 964 Carrera RS 3.8. As Diaz joins the worldwide struggle to save humanity, he is eventually directed to Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen of the Transformers). In order to fight the Unicron and the Terrorcons, the Autoboots team up with a brand-new Transformers faction called the Maximal.

Ramos is joined by Dominique Fishback (Swarm), Lauren Velez (Power Book II: Ghost), and Tobe Nwigwe (Mo) in the human parts. Cullen, Davidson, Liza Koshy (Cat Person), Cristo Fernández (Ted Lasso), and John DiMaggio (Interview with the Vampire) are actors who voice the Autoboots.

Optimus Primal, the leader of the Maximals, is voiced by Hellboy’s Ron Perlman. Other voices for the Maximals include Tongayi Chirisa (Mayfair Witches), David Sobolov (Bumblebee), and Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once). The Unicron will be voiced by Colman Domingo of Euphoria, and some of his Terrorcon supporters will be performed by Michaela Jaé Rodriguez of Pose and Peter Dinklage of Game of Thrones.

Paramount Pictures is set to release Transformers: Rise of the Beasts on June 9.
